In the Same material,I m facing  defect like surface pore betn HAZ and weld toe.what is the reason and soln for this.

Its PSL2 (Sour service) API X60 Pipe ,NO repair by welding is possible as per API 5L/ISO 3183-2010.It should be smooth blend and NDT to be carried out.

Reason for poroisty in base metal (pipe) shall be weld built up. Otherwise Chances are very few.

Recently while interpreting the RT film ,i found GAS pores on parent metal in API-X60 material ,visually not visible in pipes.
 
Please tell which acceptance cretiria to look for or pipe is rejected.
