RE: [MW:14462] flange material inspection

Dear Experts

 

Is there any other way to find out as the process mentioned requires the macrostructure analysis, at the time of inspections you have to say yes or no and reason the same to the supplier.

I think, by micro structure analysis (grain structure) you can know the mfg. process.

I want to know how we can distinguish that a flange has made by plate or has made by forged material . what's the meathods . 

 

is it possible by comparing sound velosity by ultrasonic test .
