THATS ALL CORRECT BUT THINK PRACTICALLY suppose for diameter of pipe
thickness is 10mm and dia meter 1000mm . here if you apply this rule and going
to weld with 50mm distance ? what will happen to the piece? it will twist and
uneven shape and you may not be in a position to weld. do u agree. ok to avoid
this it is better go for at leas one dia length for good engineering practice
and avoid rework.

As per ASME B� 31.3 what is the minium spacing to be maintened between two
butt weld in pipe & where is it mentioned
Is it three times of thickness or 25 m.m� whichever is greater.
