In case of production from coil a minimum of 2 tensile specimens need to be tested for each coil, so in this case 2 specimens would be acceptable. See note 1 chapter 3.2 of SA283.

Dear All,

 

Greetings.

 

 

As per MTC for the plates material - SA283GR C,  for a single Heat number( 10K22884)  total 15 Nos of plates are supplied having plate no. 15942 

 

Description of Goods- Hot rolled steel plates with sheared edges. Plates are in Non Heatreated  condition.

 

MTC is showing only  2 tension test results.

 

Please clarify whether only two tension test are acceptable OR there shall be 15 nos of tension test for 15 plates.( 1 tension test for each plate)
