According to CEN ISO/TR 20172:2004 (Grouping systems for materials -
European Materials) which is the Technical Recommendation for group
numbers it is Group 1.1 instead of 1.2 as mentioned by Mr. Limesh. If
you take a look at the EN 15608 group 1.2 you can see thiss is for
materials having a minimum specified yield strength of >275 - 360 MPa.
The material 16Mo3 has a minimum specified yield strength of 275 MPa
(applies only for thickness's up to 16 mm, larger thickness's have a
lower minimum specified yield strength) and therefore is the highest
material in Group 1.1
