For simulating the condition cut PTC from formed dish. Incase manhole is there on dish, you can use the cutout as PTC otherwise remove material from extended straight portion of dish.

If we do normalising to dish end, it's yield strength is increased due to strain hardening of dish end.. But this yield strength is restore by normalising. In normalising strength is reduced but after reduction it come to it's orignal yield strength. But if PTC undergone through same normalizing heat treatment, then it's yied strength is lower than Dish end yield Strength ?

material is SA516 gr-70.
