Dear Sir,


In such situation, base on my experience in welding, you can use special filler rod to perform such welding.

In KOBELCO welding consumable, TG-X316L, TG-X308L can be use to weld such application because
these consumable doesn't require back purging during welding.

Special chemical elements is added into this filler rod which can act as oxidation agent.

Attached is the technical literature of KOBELCO TG-X series.

Kindly refer to the attachments.

P.S: This filler rod can be only used for root pass only, balance pass continue to use SMAW or FCAW.
