Hello everyone,
i want to know which welding consumables is the giving a best performance for A516 Gr.70 mat. for storage tank.
Storage tank is not API 650 tank, out of the standard. it will use for pulmp and paper industry.
So i decided and checked of all the standards.this is my selections;
For SMAW : E7018-1
For SAW : EM12 wire (wire brand will choose another time), Lincoln 860/ F7A2 flux.
i am wondering ,EM12K wire with 860/f7a2 flux is a good choose ?
another question;
this is not API 650 tank so some of tank has a 30-40 mm first shell course and 75 mm annular plate. is the PWHT necessary for this tank's thicher plates? if necessary ; how i can decide and chech which standards.i cant find any information at ASME SEC. IX, AWS D1.1 etc..
