It is not recommended but if you had to, you shall use a dosing pump on the inlet (of hydro-test water) to add corrosion inhibitor... Other methods will not work...
This is only good if you keep the water for minimum length of time and you have to quickly drain it after hydro-test. Moreover, you shall wash the internal surface (and bottom side of floating roof) with pressurized fresh water to remove salt residues.
All of the above mentioned steps are extremely important to prevent pitting corrosion after hydro-test.
