Mr. Silva,
You have not mentioned type of material to be welded. Pl. refer to QW- 202.4 of the Sec. IX ASME code. It says,
WPS qualified on groove joints is applicable for dissimilar thicknesses provided,
a. thickness of the thinner member shall be within the range permitted by QW-451.
b. thickness of thicker member is more than 6 mm or greater if the material is as per the details
mentioned (like P8, P41, P42 etc.) there in.
c. If it is P1, P11, P22 (other than above P nos) etc., thickness of thicker member within the range
as permitted by QW 451.
d. More than one PQR may be required for certain thickness combinations.
e. In your case the thickness of the weld joint bevel is 10.97 mm and do not require an additional
PQR and you can do the welding.

i have confusion regarding the base material thickness qualified or limit. for eg. consider neck to flange welding. my PQR is qualified to weld 5mm to 24mm. but some portion of the flange like self reinforced hub, has thickness above 50mm. In the portion where bevel is done and welding involved has only 10.97mm. Can i weld this flange with the above PQR?
