[MW:8494] Pre heat and post heat for welding Bisalloy strips to 4140 HT (Heat Treated)

Can someone please assists me with the welding process I require to know the pre heat and post heat requirements to weld strips of Bisalloy 12-HX450 grade to  4140 HT material. The use of this will be for the drilling industry.

i have a question

what is the difference of

1)after welding then straight away go for post heating

2)after welding , then pause welding (welding duration too long) then when welding is done(after 2 days of welding ) then only proceed to post heat.

will the paused gap affect anything?

S355 J2 WP  is a weathering structural steel  It has better atmospheric corrosion resistance. Use E 8018 - W1/W2  Electrodes This is regular...
