Hi,
You cannot use.As per QW256 and QW404.14 deletion or addition of filler metal is an essential variable.You have to prepare new WPS with supporting PQR.

CASE 1:  GTAW , WT QUALIFIED 1/8" – 5/16", WITH FILLER METAL, groove V joint

CASE 2: GTAW, WT 1/16" , NO FILLER METAL , buttweld

 

Could you please give your opinión regarding this issue:

There is a PQR approved by ASME IX for case 1, is suitable use that PQR for support a new  WPS in order to weld as described in case 2?
