[MW:7541] pwht requirement for service

Dear members

We i have installed new desalter in our plant in which cement lining is not given in the drawing ,but the existin desalter have cement lining ,the thk of vessel is 34 mm and pwht is given in the drawing ,we want to do cement lining in side the vessel to do this we need to weld the clit with vessel to hold the wire mesh.

It is mentioned in the drawing that no weld after pwht.

In this case what we have to do?

Is this pwht is service requirement or code requirement ,but as i know that as per sec VIII 38 mm thk is the pwht requirement.

if its service requirement pwht then what does the code mentioned about the pwht ,weather we go for weld clit without pwht or pwht ,

What is alternative rule to avoid pwht.

Plz reply as soon as possible.

Regards

Sunil rathore

Subject: [MW:7486] reg baking

Dear All,

Iam new to piping. I have some basic doubts and i request you to
please clarify..

1. In our fab yard, in the evening after the work is finished,
the remaining electrodes(E-7018 and E-7018-1) are being kept back in the
oven and the entire night the oven will be at 150 deg.
Will it affect the coating if they r kept for that much time
(the entire night)?

No

2. Do i have to do baking for those electrodes again in the
morning?

Not Required

3. What is the max number of recycling of electrodes?

Re-Baking maximum of only once

4. what is the purpose of doing baking till 250 deg ?

Removal of Adsorbed moiture

doesnt the moisture will be removed if we maintain 150 deg i.e
continuously at holding temp?

Mfg has to advise

Regards,

vasu.
