Dear All,
As Mr. John mentioned in the trailing mail, welding machines can be validated for out put characteristics such as Current and voltage. If it is pulsed machine then slope up/down current and time also to be validated.
Refer to BS standard 7570, which specifies about the validation of arc welding machines. Find attached herewith the relevant pages of the document for information.

Hi.
If welding machine verification, not validate the output of voltage and current at specific settings throughout, you must send to repair the welding machine.

You cannot calibrate a welding power source – you can only validate the output characteristics.
Use a conventional bench tester to validate the voltage and amerage characteristics throughout the output curve.
Alternatively use a clamp-on volt/amperage meter which has been calibrated to validate the output of voltage and current at specific settings throughout the range of the output curve.
