yes  austenitic SS is restricted to 60 °C, these limits are from NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 barring certain compressor items and instrument tubing, you may choose other alloys from Table A8

For the sea environment (Where sea water exposure or low flow rates) SS316 will not be suggested.

Can any one advise me usage temperature for SS316L in offshore enveronemnt.
 
As for as i know it can be used up to 60 degc.But now i have temprature of 80 Deg C.If any on eknows and have information abt this pls reply me.
 
And the same Case is Applicable for SS316 L RTG Gaskets also.
