[MW:4075] Plug valve standard - API6D

Hi,

 

Data sheets specifies Jacketed Plug valve for Sulfur service as below.

 

Specified                                    Proposed

Const : API599                          API6D

Plug :  A351 CF8M                   Stainless steel 1.4408

Bolts/Nuts: A193B7/A1942H     Bolts/ nuts A4-70

 

and jacket material as steel 1.00038

 

what are these 1.4408 and 1.0038 are these ASTM standards

 

 

API6D is Specification where as API599 is a Standard, can we use like this

what major difference between specs and standard.

 

Please let me know if acceptable or not.
