Subject: [MW:3134] RE: 3133] Weld over lay on the inner surface of an elbow
Assuming your design code as B31.3 for ¾” wall thickness no PWHT is required for the weld overlay, since it is not a metal to metal contact, any Stainless steel weld overlay can serve the purpose.

We have a problem of erosion by steam + water jet.
Material of the elbow is A234-WPBW Thickness: 0.75” Diameter: 28” Long Radius
We would like to have hard facing on the inner surface without the need for PWHT.
Can any one suggest suitable WPS for the same?
