Required a complete traceability of Base Material Certificate.
--Dear All,
We would like to know whether Pipe fittings (Elbow, Tee, Reducer etc…) can be certified to 3.2 Certification from the Base material which is a pipe.(Base material Certificate type is 3.1) and help us by providing what all testing and other requirements to be considered in Inspection Test Plan for Pipe fittings to be endorsed as Type "3.2".
Whether physical traceability of base material (in our case, it is carbon steel seamless pipe) at Manufacturer's location is required?
NOTE: All mechanical and chemical tests for fittings at an Independent Laboratory shall be done and will be certified by LR, BV etc…. so as to endorse Pipe fittings as "3.2 Certification".
Do we still require a complete traceability of Base Material Certificate; although above test will be done?
Please provide your technical guidelines to resolve above query.
