Re: [MW:9177] Difference between Certificate of compliance and Certificate of conformance

Dear Mr. Idrish,

I like to share my views on this topic. I am assuming that query is being asked from PED perspective.

Certificate of Compliance : Document in which Manufacturer declares that products supplied are in compliance with requirements of the order, without inclusion of test results. (EN 10204 Type 2.1)

Certificate of Conformance - ( Certificate of Conformity) - Certificate issued by Notified Bodies ( NB) / Manufacturer, after successful compliance of conformity assessment modules to meet the ESR ( Essential Safety Requirements ) of the Directive.

Attaching extracts for further guidance.

With Best Regards,

Re: [MW:9173] Difference between Certificate of compliance and Certificate of conformance

A cert of compliance states that you have complied with the requirements

A cert of conformance states that product conforms to requirements.
