One treats cast steel similar to wrought steel. Match the strength of the cast steel with the strength of the electrode. Depending on carbon equivalent pre and post weld heating might apply.

If you have the grade of material I can be more specific.

Hi,

Can anybody suggest a good electrode for cast steel?

No code applies, just common welding.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Larry
