Gentlemen,
What is considered to be the proper ventilation inside an API 650 tank when gouging on the door sheet is being performed?
We have built several API 650 tanks through more than 10 years in the Gulf Coast area (US) and were never requested any special ventilation requirements other than blower/fans to circulate the air inside the tanks.
Safety representatives are requiring more stringent ppe (full face respirators) for this activity.
Please share your experiences if any on the matter.
Thanks,
Antonio Bustios
