Date: 2019-02-03 19:30Subject: [MW:29032] Procedure Qualification Cu-Cu welding--Hello All,I would greatly appreciate if someone can advise me on procedure qualification using AWS 5.8- BCuP-3 filler alloy ( F# 103 listed in QB ) involving Cu-Cu base metal.The filler alloy is equally suitable to use either with fusion welding process e.g GTAW or by Torch Brazing.The intended application is Cu-Cu ( C11000) & base metal thickness range 1/16"- 1/4"UTS all weld for filler metal : ~36Ksi Elongn: 8%UTS of Cu base plate ( UNS : C11000) : 42KSIConcern is even with wrap around Bend Test failure will be in the WELD. if PQR test per QW ?Advise best welding procedure to qualify WPS or BPS ( QW or QB) & acceptance ? Any one has any experience?ThanksAmitabh
