Re: [MW:26900] preheating required for T12 material

Hi,
T12 is under P Number 4. For this lesser thickness(6mm) No need to do Preheat. Please find below the extraction from ASME Section I. Please refer A-100 , Section I.

A-100.4.3 P-No. 4, Group No. 1, 2. 250°F (120°C)
for material that has either a specified minimum tensile
strength in excess of 60,000 psi (410 MPa) or a thickness
at the joint in excess of 1/2 in. (13 mm); 50°F (10°C) for all
other materials in this grouping.
