[MW:15961] RE: 15959] What kind of weld defect? pl advice..

In my opinion this is a poor start / stop which they tried to repair with the short weld.  The visible defect is a still lack of side wall fusion and because of this you also face incomplete fill of the joint at this location.

Because of the presence of (deep) lack of fusion it should become rejected by any code.

What kind of defect is this? whether this is acceptable or reject as per spec/code. pl specify exact reference.
