[MW:11277] pipe fittings

Dear All,

Could you please advise what is maximum over weight is allowed for the pipe fitting made as per B-16.9.

One of our supplier made 2” X 1” reducer from solid bar and kept the length as well as end dimension as per ASME code but the Centre portion he has kept untouched which is increasing the weight of this fitting almost 100%. As a good engineering practice the weight should not be more than 10% but I just wanted to know some code reference for this.
