[MW:11502] vertical down welding qualification

Hello all
we are on a regular basis doing a job involving a lot of vertical welding of stiffeners 16 mm thk base metal general carbon steel 0.1 to 0.2 C group .
The same is as per client specs being done by E 7018 in normal position.
I am looking for details on qualification and approvals in vertical down position if anyone has the same for SMAW or even MAG using low hydrogen electrodes like E 7016  [or equivalent in MAG ] to reduce production time on the job drastically.
