RE: [MW:10866] Re : Blasting and Paint on Weldment

We are thermal spraying 85% zinc / 15% aluminum inside an ASME section VIII Div. 2 pressure vessel, do we need to conform to any ASME code to perform this work?

Also does anyone in this forum have any data on zinc compatibility with refrigerants such as R134a or any of the refrigerants?

Right now we’re facing the issue to convince the client’s since we apply TSA and Coat and Sealer ..

For any painting activities, ASME code is not applicable, only painting cods are applicable, also specially for painting you have to go to client specification which will guide you what paint system you have to apply.
