Thanks for your reply.
However my second query is unadressed.
"Secondly i would also like to know which of the two will have more toughness and why - EN 19 casting OR EN19 plate ?"
I feel that plate will have more toughness than casting, but how much ???
Can anyone reply to this please ??

Subject: [MW:10758] Impact
testing temp. for EN19 steel
Dear Friends
I wanted to use EN 19 plate in one of my present project, wherein the
application demands severe impact loads at room temperature.
I had browsed through the properties of EN 19 plate in various literatures
wherein the Izod test values are mentioned @ 55J.
However the Izod testing temperature is not mentioned.
Can anyone help me out or guide me where to refer, so that i can know the Izod
testing temperature of this EN 19 steel.
Secondly i would also like to know which of the two will have more toughness
and why - EN 19 casting OR EN19 plate ?
The reason being the final component will have to be casted due geometrical
complications.
