ASME Sec IX tells about only Qualification standard for Welding and Brazing Procedures,Welders,Brazers and Welding and Brazing Operators and is not covered the Acceptance Standard. Acceptance Standard for pressure vessel is covered in design code.

For qualification of welders & welding operators follow only ASME sec IX acceptance, and more over qualification test are being given with ref to qualified WPS, and no impqct for welders, it is only for procedures
