[MW:8860] Re: Reducing hardness of EN-24 material.

hi
We are frequently welding En 24 and H11 /H13 type of mtl as a service
to the forging customers of ours
The successful procedure what we have adopted with our exp. is is as
follows
Stress relieve the job ( pre heat up to 650dig C )soak for 1hr/inch of
thickness allow to cool in furnace up to 300dig C
tak out the job wrap in ceramic wool
Weld the job
slow cool with insulation
Sr again
harden & temper to the desire value hope this may help u
