Dear All,
We request information / throw some light on the subject as our case below :
We have been using LPG & Acetylene for Metal cutting operations in our Training Welding Workshops / Fabrication yard. We are now getting a CNG connection for the campus, so we intend changing over the Metal cutting operation to CNG as the fuel. This conection will be through the local pipeline network with low pressure.
1. Can we get some guidelines as to how this can be done, especially as CNG will not be at high pressure?
2. We suppose the cutting torches and nozzles will have to be modified / replaced for CNG use.
3. We will also like to know the possible source of such equipment suppliers in India.
4. We suppose CNG will be cheaper than LPG supplied in cylinders at commercial (which are quite high than the ones for home consumption) rates for industrial use. are we correct?
Thanks in advance,
G. A. Soman
Principal
