Subject: [MW:7980] R/F Pad plate thickness

Dear All,

Situation:
Dished head nominal thk.8mm / Minimum thk.6mm
Shell thk.6mm
Code of construction: ASME Sec.VIII Div.I

Is it acceptable to use 10mm thk R/F pad plate (due to non availability of lesser thk plate) for a nozzle suppose to be welded on above mentioned dished head...?

Regards,
Manohar.
