No problem, it does not violate the Code. Customer should agree.
 
But other case, some customer requests R/F pad shall not be under than shell/head thickness.

Is it acceptable to use 10mm thk R/F pad plate (due to non availability of lesser thk plate) for a nozzle suppose to be welded on above mentioned dished head...?
