Dear tong,
At the end point of your tie in just weld one flange and do your hydro test and after your hydro test cut the flange and connect your tie in to other end with wlding and perrform 100% RT.the jont is universal acceptable as a golden joint if it is satisfactory with 100% RT.Previously same procedure i fallowed for 670 bar test pressure.
If you have still doubts regarding this please revert back to me.

Dear All,
I have one tie-in point. The material is SA 312 TP316L. The test pressure is 350 bar and operating pressure is 250 bar. The big problem is there are no isolation point so hydrotest can't be performed on it. When I refer to API 570, clause 8.2.6 stated that when a pressure test is not necessary or practical, NDE shall be utilized in lieu of a pressure test. Due to this line is high pressure, is it enough only perform the NDT ? How suppose i do to convince our management level regarding integrity of the weldment ? Please help me. Thank in advance and you cooperation is highly appreciatedRegardsTong2je
