Dear Mr. Reddy,
You can segregate these material by XRF PMI test with ease.
A 106 Gr. B -
Cr = 0.40
Ni = 0.40
A336 Gr. F6
Cr = 11.5 - 13.5
Ni = 0.40
See the difference in Chromium percentage. Set the XRF PMI for NI & Cr detection.
If you are interested in another NDE method for segregation. The best suitable method is " Eddy current Testing"
You can segregate these two item due to difference in their conductivity.

Dear Friends,When A106 Gr.B and A336 Gr.6 pipes are physically mixed up and mill identification/ stencilling was lost during painting on external surface. Since both are CS materials, segregation by PMI (i.e by X-Ray spectrometer or by Gamma ray) is not possible.Is there any other NDE method to segregate/ identify them to the respective material specification.Regards,
T S Reddy
