What is your product standard?

For e.g. if it is produced in acc with SA234, one must specify hydro test as supplementary requirement S54, otherwise it is not mandatory.

DEAR SIR

IF A SPLIT TEE IS PRODUCED ACCORDING TO ASME B31.8 BY THE METHOD OF EXTRUDING THE OUTLET ,IS IT NECESSARY TO DO HYDROSTATIC TEST ON IT BY THE MANUFACTURER , IF YES ,WHAT PARTS ,ONLY OUTLET OR WHOLE OF TEE ,WHAT IS THE STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES , IF NO , WHAT IS THE REFERENCES AND STANDARDS .

TAKE IT IN THE MIND THAT IN MSS SP 75 , WHICH IS A STANDARD FOR   BUTT WELDING TEES , HYDROSTATIC TEST IS NOT NECESSARY BY THE MANUFACTURE BUT IT SHOULD BE CAPABLE TO WITHSTAND  THE HYDROSTATIC TEST TO 1.5 TIMES OF DESIGN PRESSURE
