For the above welding I have provisionally selected following welding consumables for various welding processes:-
Electrode for SMAW: - E 8018 G of AWS A5.5
Solid wire for GMAW (with Co2 Shielding): - ER 80 S-G of AWS A 5.28
Flux-wire combination for SAW: - F8A2 - EA2-A2 of AWS A5.23 alternatively F 7A4 - EH14 of AWS 5.17
I shall be obliged if you kindly send me your suggestions/ comments on the above selection of electrode, wire & SAW Flux and also let me know some reputed compatible product/brand name of the same.
With regards,
Yours Sincerely,

It could be poor design, why you need flanges in a buried pipeline?
Most cost effective will be coal tar wrapping

Dear Gentlemen,
Good day to everyone. I have one dilema regarding some fittings to be welded to a pipe and will be buried 1.5 meter below grade surface. Is this right thing to done? If correct what is the most cost effective protection that we can do to protect the buried fittings(example- Flanges).
Best regards,

[MW:1358] Re: Selection of welding consumables for E 410 grade steel of IS: 2062:2006
You should opt for E7018 Electrode for SMAW process and ER70S wire for GMAW process. You should also check what is the actual Carbon Equivalent from the material TC by IIW formula C+Mn/6+(Cr+Mo+V)/5+(Cu+Ni)/15 or else by short formula C+Mn/6.It is preferable if it is between 0.41 to 0.43 and does not cross 0.45.Fully killed steel is preferable.
