Subject: [MW:1271] Pipes ASTM B165 UNS No 4400Dear All,I have got the requirement of subjected material of 12" Size Sch 10S seamless annealed from Licensor side, I sent enquiries to many vendors out of which one has replied in this manner,Following the enquiry for this project, you are requesting the following item:
- pipe B165 SMLS BE Annealed SCH10S ASTM B165-NO44000 12"
Actually, this product does not exist as seamless due to the thin thickness of the metal.
We requested alternate of: pipe B725 WELDED Annealed SCH10S 12", And request to accept the deviation,
Although I have kept hold on this matter, I would like to get some other quotes and deviation request also before my proceeding. Meanwhile would like some views to be thrown on that, as I am not been satisfied by the vendor's condition for the said deviation request, As I do not want to change the material just because of its thinness, and aslo it is of licensor's requirement.
Thanks & Regards.
Bagesh

[MW:1277] RE: 1271] Pipes ASTM B165 UNS No 4400
if you refer table X2.1 sizes up to 8" in SMLS are regularly available. for above 8" its quite common to get welded pipe, I don't know, you may check with other vendors if SMLS in 12" is available.
