Dear Philip,

As per understanding, if your going to use the WPS for the pipe work meant
for structural works or loading , you can adopt the WPS prepared as per
ASME.

If not, then you need run separate qualification as per ASME Sec IX

Hello Mr. Philip,

You can ask your lab to certify the test as per ASME Sec IX and AWS
D1.1 and you can prepare separate WPS as per Sec IX and D1.1 and use
the same test to prepare PQR then you can use the qualified WPS as per
ASME and AWS D1.1.

I have done the same while i was there in Dubai and same was accepted
by ABSG.
