How to check carbon steel pipe service life ?
I have the following details :
1) Size: 2" sch 40
2) Material: A 106B
3) Service : Drain (S03 contain is 20/1.325 = 15.1 mg/kg = 0.0015 mass%)
4) Pressure: Atmospheric
5) Temperature: 170°C.
6) Corrosion allowance : 2 mm.
FYI, Project specification requirement is SS pipe but actually provided CS pipe for Boiler stack.
Could anyone please advise a service life for above pipe? I need to propose to client to accept CS pipe instead of SS Pipes.
