Construction Code: API 650
Annular PlateThickness: 13.5mm
Bottom plate thickness:8.0mm
We are in a position to weld "Patch Plate" on the Annular ring plates.All the repairs are not in the critical zone (3"inch as per API 653). As per API 653 the patch plate thickness within the critical zone is 1/4" maximum. Could you please suggest the thickness requirement for the "Patch Plate" beyond the critical zone and within the annular ring plate.
Please kindly give your inputs with code reference.
