Titanium could be very costly . is the piping meant for raw sea water or the desalinated water?

Dear expert,
Which material is suited to desalination plants keeping in mind the corrosion resistant properties?
Will titanium work well?
If any references or process licensors data available specifically for these applications do share.
Regards,
