[MW:25276] Using API 5L Gr. X80 Grade Material

Hi,

One of our ongoing project requires for high strength piping material with API 10000# rating, Our design pressure is 7000 psig (482 barg), and design temperature range of  -20 / 300 deg F.

Following are our concerns, Kindly provide your suggestions and recommendations for the same.

Pipe material API 5L Gr. X80 was selected to mitigate the higher thickness when we select Lower grade (API 5L Gr.X60, 65) material.  From your experience is there any difficulties been faced by EPC Contractor during construction (welding piping with fittings and flanges) using material grade of X80,

We have considered flange and fitting materials of equivalent grade as ASTM A694 Gr. F80 and A860 WPHY 80 respectively are these strength is achievable and available? If not, can we use ASTM A694 Gr. F60 flanges and A860 WPHY 60 fittings with API 5L Gr. X80 pipes?

Any information regarding same would be of great help.

Thanks in advance.
