As per my knowledge of codes a welder can be qualified after 6 months on the basis of NDT Tracebilty records that can be reviewing the radiographs of welder who has welded on a particular job and if it is reviewed and found satisfactory by the TPI, then the continuity can be extended n the welder is qulalified to work further.
