Hi Kumar, Based on the ASME B31.3, it is not necessary to be bare pipe it can be painted also, i have did this in my recent project too.

i think when the pipe over ground and the hydro test carried out and the time duration is 2 hrs and more the joint must be not painting to check it visually best regard
