I refer to ASME B16.34 (Pipeline Transport System) to answer your question below :
Par 437.1.4 Testing After New Construction .
1. System to be operated at a hoop stress of more than 20 % of the specified minimum yield strength of the pipe shall be hydrostatically tested
2. System to be operated at a hoop stress of less than 20 % of the specified minimum yield strength of the pipe may be subjected to leak test

Dear All,
Can someone help me to find when is it required to hydrotest parts in pipeline, Please provide information in detail, with code reference (if possible AS2885). I am aware Pressure vessel require Hydrotest, but it's not clear for pipeline.
Any information would be much appreciated.
