If it is an 2" pipe it is better to go for 100% rt after repair as some
times the total repair area may not be covered by the partial rt. if the dia
is more than 3" we can go for the partial rt as we can clear see total
reapair area has been covered or not . if it is an 2" it is diifficult to
guess whether reapir area has been covered or not

dear all,

depends on the repair if in root (IF, LOP) due to hi-low or missmatch
especially fittings, it is prefferred to cut out and re fit up makes
more tappering inside the pipe fittings to be match the inside dia.
but make sure that is performed properly atleast 30 deg. angle of
tapper.
