[MW:3499] Re: Welding of Sa-335 to SA-106

Jimmy,
 
ASME Sec-IX allows a PQR qualified for P4-P4 base metal to be referred as the supporting PQR for a WPS on P4-P1 base metal.
You need to ensure, that the design code calls for the only ASME Sec--IX, for welding qualifications,welding comsumables are same as in the PQR,there are no other rquirements, such as clients' spec etc.
 
I do not have the applicable clause handy,but if you need more details I may send the info to you.
