[MW:3487] RE: 3479] S-Number

S numbers were materials approved by B31 committees but did not have allowables in Sc. II and were not approved for use in Sc I or Sc VIII construction.  Often used for construction of hangers and hanger assemblies for piping that was governed by B31 but not in pressure boundary use.

Hi Friends

As per ASME Sec.IX, QW420, materials are grouped and assigned P-Numbers i.e. Parent material number.

Similarly i would like to know what is meant by S-Number with full form and detailed explanation !!!
