Re: [MW:8185] Weld Macro examination

If you design, construction and testing code is the BPVC of ASME then:

stud welds: x10
tube to tube sheet welds: x10 to 20x
resistance welding: x10
laser beam welding: x25
flush welding: x5
hard facing: x5

    [MW:8179] Weld Macro examination

Ref

Dear members,
I've a question about Macro examination in
PQR's. What is the minimum magnifcation level we need to have? ,is
there any reference standard/specification .
One of my client spec syas it must be x5 .I have come across with
various PQR review this magnification level is varying a range from
x2.7 ,x3.4,x4.0&x5.0.

Also is there any significance in referring the letter in small
case(x5) or Caps(X5)

Any one can put your expertise in this regard.
